Wow! How cool. :applaud:

If I only had that much time to waste.....

Dude that has to be thousands of dollars in bricks.

No kidding. Big investment in all those parts, especially since he went into more detail than just plain old bricks.

Ah damn, he replaced all the pictures with low quality jpeg versions. Guess he was running out of bandwith. Geez, the guy spends all that time and money building something cool, but when it's shown to the world he starts skimping on a few bytes?
If anyone cares for a better version: A dutch site kept a mirror (1.5MB) (http://www.geenstijl.nl/archives/images/legomirrort.jpg)

He doesn't want anyone to reveal he really build it from MegaBlocks.

As a kid I always set out to do this stuff. I saw the magazine and said I could do better. I would do well until all I had left was yellow bricks that clashed horribly with the rest. Red and blue went together alright, but man those yellows made it look bad. I still have my huge tub of Legos in the basement. Maybe I should break 'em out.

He would definitely lose his cred if that came to be true. I HATED the "guys" that came with MegaBlocks...

It puts the GI Joe carrier to shame. I wonder if he bought all grey and black legos or if he used any color and then painted them.
This is wishful thinking but would it be worth integrating mindstorms here? Off hand I remember a light sensor, touch, and motion so none would really work well right?

I don't think Lego’s floated that well. I wonder if he built that around a Styrofoam block, or if it's just touching the bottom since it looks like he's in shallow water.

There is something that looks like a wooden leg underneath it in the first picture. Maybe there are a few more on the hidden side.

If you look closely at the last picture, it definately seems to be sitting on some sort of table. Not suprising, that thing's got to weight a ton.

"He doesn't want anyone to reveal he really build it from MegaBlocks."
Now Chad, everyone knows if he built it from (ick) MegaBlocks it would have broken into a million pieces the first time he tried to move it. :applaud:
Everytime someone gives one of my kids a damn MegaBlock set for xmas or a birthday I can't stand trying to put them together, they just fall apart if you look at them crosseyed...I just sit there mumbling about how back in my day there was only one kind of building block...Hell, I get all upset about all the 'new-fangled' specialized shapes that they have for Legos now.. kinda feels like cheating...bah

Thats one way to conceal the wifes body!
On the island I live on, someone killed his wife, and fibreglassed her into a chest that he used as a coffee table. My mother's BF had been over there and even drank beer with the guy---placing the cans on that "coffee table".
The guy finally broke down and turned himself in....
