Hi All,
Just picked up a 40GB PS3 and was wondering if there are any issues connecting to my PSP with 3.40OE-A hacked firmware?
Had a look around on the web but didn't find anything that said yes/no.
Appreciate any info.
Cheers.

I tried this. My psp is hacked as well. The PS3 said I would have to update my PSP to use the remote play feature, so that was a no-go.

I am using 4.01 M33-2 on my PSP and remove play works fine with my PS3.

Thanks Dazz.
I haven't done much with my PSP lately so I am out of touch with the firmware upgrades, but I presume I can upgrade from 3.40OE-A to 4.01M33-2?
Can I do this in one jump or will I need to upgrade to another firmware version before I can go to 4.01?
Cheers.

Honestly, I don't know anymore... Once the auto upgrading M33 versions come out upgrading is a matter of doing a network update from the PSP.

After some digging on the web I found I had to upgrade to 3.52M33, then 3.52M33-4 and from there I could upgrade to 4.01M33 and 4.01M33-2.
Have updated the PSP to 4.01M33-2 not but haven't had a chance to connect to the PS3 yet, I will have a crack at it tonight.
Thanks.

Success!!
Using 4.01M33-2 I had no trouble connecting the PSP to my PS3 and enabling Remote Play.
Cheers Dazz for the info re which firmware revision to use.

Cool, I'll have to try this myself! :) Thanks for the info!

hmmm. Maybe I'll try updating mine. I remember trying to enable remote play on mine a couple years ago, maybe longer, and it wouldn't let me. Is there any good reason to use remote play? I never really understood the point. Say I had my psp at some random wifi hotspot. You can connect, and then turn on your PS3 online and play compatible stuff from it?

Yeah, you can but as always remote play never works right. At least I've never had any luck with it
