Title: sega megatech
Post by: danny_galaga on September 19, 2008, 04:26:57 am

went to a pinball meet last weekend and the host had a sega megatech

unfortunately just that day the power supply blew so we couldnt play it. looking at the carts for it, they look exactly the same as a cart i got with my brand new south east asia megadrive. anyone here know anything about these machines? can a megadrive game be plugged straight in?

Although the cartrideges are the same shape as the asian MD the MegaPlay carts are not interchangable with the megadrive and vice versa due to a bios "byte swap" restriction. But I bet you could easily do it with a MD eprom cart and byte swap them yourself. Saw a few of those blank carts on ebay a while ago.
