Title: Would this adapter work, what else do i need to purchase to get my cab running
Post by: mrclean on September 18, 2008, 09:57:41 pm
I'm looking to build a Gun.Smoke few questions reguarding parts first

OK so i'm taking on a project I bought a taito cabinet which had Mr. Do inside of it, non-working.

I don't have time for a cap kit, or to fix a monitor so I have a brand new 19'' on the way.

Power supply inside the cabinet seems to be working because it lights up the coin doors, and my speaker hums loudly

I already removed the Mr. Do pcb, waiting for Gun.Smoke PCB in the mail. To my understanding This game used a certain pin-out, so should I buy a classic capcom to JAMMA adaptor to make my life easier? and then just purchase a JAMMA Loom / wire harness I have all the leaf buttons, as well as a wico joystick thanks to GinsuVictim so what else do i need?

Brand new 19''
Gun.Smoke PCB
Power Supply
Capcom classic to JAMMA adaptor
Jamma Wire Loom / Harness

What am I missing if anything ? This is going to be my first conversion / dedicated non MAME cabinet although I was told that it's more simple to me it seems more complicated just for right now before getting into any thing too technical do I have the required parts are they correct for what i'll need for functionality ?

i noticed that for the capcom to jamma adaptor Jammaboards.com is literally no wires just an adapter / with finger board and is alot cheaper any reason ? it's like 17.95 vs. Arcade Shops, 45.00 ?? any difference or just a good deal??

Arcadeshop.com $45.00: (http://www.arcadeshop.com/pics/gng-jamma-Adapter.jpg)

Jammaboards.com $17.95:
