Title: going to phuket in janauary, any advice/ places

hi as topic says, but can you still get fake electronic stuff over there? mates asked for the fake ipod touch (unknown why).
i am after clothes and some electrical stuff , but i cant see on net if its still available of if i need to go further afiels like hong kong, bankock.

also any advice for 1st time traveler there, ive heard about the gogo bars ect :),

me and my m8  are flying out , and going to pick up accomodation on spec.

so anyone been there and knows the doos and donts?

bring a lot of condoms; with that industry you might wanna double bag it.

This could apply to both the women and the electronics:
Haggle, dont carry alot of cash on you, and never pay more then you want no matter how little they sell it for, they are turning a profit.

Make sure you always negotiate prices, bring stuff to barter with so you don't have to use money. They will love anything American...from cheap hats to pins and such. Other than that, drink bottled water or beer and don't mind the mosquitoes the size of your head!
