Title: Black laminate In UK????

Any ideas where i can get some black laminate for covering the my bartop cab here in the UK??

There is plenty of info and suppliers in that thread.

I also found http://www.plasman.co.uk/ the other day. Apparently they sell half sheets (and possibly smaller too) etc which will be of use to you if you are making a bartop. They are the only place I have found that sell half/part sheets so I imagine they would be your best bet.

Why is laminate so hard to find?  I went to Home Depot to order some last weekend and the CSR told me he didn't know the password to the computer to place the order.  He had 3 other people try and they couldn't figure it out either - unbelievable.  I'm getting VERY close to actually needing it and I've been searching for over a month.

Have you contacted Plasman, Franco? Just was woundering what sizes they do and prices, their site isnt the most informative is it??

I emailed them last week asking about what 0.7mm black laminate they had and sizes/prices etc but they never got back to me. It may be worth calling them direct to get a price. If you do call let us know what they say.

I spoke to them just now.

They quoted Jet Black formica (0.8mm thick) 3050x1300mm for £36.35 excl VAT.

They also do adhesive in 5L tins for £21.00 excl VAT but he will try to get it for me for £16.00 per tin.

Any interest? He said this stuff is perfect for routing and has a really nice eggshell finish!
