Title: I'm in the UK - what are my options?
Post by: bertthedefender on September 17, 2008, 10:47:33 am
Hi All,

Had a look for a similar topic but couldn't find one, so here goes.

I'm restoring a 28" BAS Jamma cabinet and converting it to MAME.  The 28" Hantarex Polo was removed before I got hold of the cab so I would like to replace it with a digital multisync such as the 27" WG D9400.

Thing is, where to I get one from in the UK?

I spoke to Brent Electronic (namco.co.uk) and they had some but they were £495 + VAT and delivery.
Is it worth getting one shipped over from the US? Even with $200 shipping, it would be cheaper from X-arcade.com (£380 +VAT)

Anybody got any better options?

Cheers,

B.

Thanks Grant, I bet thats an analogue though eh? I really need it to remember all the geometry settings between resolutions.  Why oh why do I like switching between medium and low-res games every 5 mins! ??? But I suppose you pays your money and takes your choice.

I'm also trying to source a 27" digital multisync, any progress on your searches?
I contacted wells gardner directly about a D9800, the price is $395 + $475.12 shipping, when you convert that and add vat/customs duty it adds up to about £601!
