Title: Missing scrolling sound, MaLa 1.05
Post by: system01 on September 16, 2008, 09:17:56 pm
So I just put the new MaLa (1.0.5.8) on last night and now I dont have the sound that occurs when scrolling through the list.  The sound plays at the sample button in the Sounds tab, and every other sound plays (exit, start, list change, etc) normally.  I even used a working sound as the scroll sound and still nothing.  Its also the same one I was using in 1.0.4.

Anyone else experience this with the new version?

Thx.

It works for me  ; ;D

Are you using the same mala.ini config file for 1.04 and 1.05?

The reason I ask is there is an option in options-GUI-options-display delay 'Gui Sounds'. What do you have that set to in 1.05?

I normally don't have that checked as it slows down scrolling a bit to play a wav  ;)

That did it!

Funny thing is, I had the entire delay tab turned off, but some settings below were checked and grayed out.  So I checked the delay box, unchecked all of the things below, then turned delay back off.  Maybe something to look at, unless its just me. :dunno

Thanks again!

Not just you.

I guess that section could be labled better.

It means exceptions to scrolling at optimum speed (not including joystick or mouse settings)

So really the sound section should not be enabled or made more clear that it won't play unless that scroll delay allows it to play I guess
