Title: Video snaps blip on for a second, no video, sound only. Help?

I'm running gameex, and I have it set to show video snaps (graciously provided by emumovies), but when I highlight a game on the menu, it shows a black screen. Then, when I switch games, I hear the sound of the previous snap start, then immediately stop. What's happening here?

Do you have the Xvid drivers installed?  Can you view the video outside of the Frontend in Windows?  What version of Windows are you using?
