Title: 338 in one dos fortified monitor advice

i bought a 338 in one system that is currently running on a tv screen. i want to replace it with a 19" svga monitor. i have tried it it picks up the controlers it reads the coins but as soon as i choose a game from the main menu it says loading game and then throws me back to the main menu. can anybody help me please i am still very new to this, im from south africa thank you
