Title: Wire 2 joys on player 1?
Post by: georgemcfly on September 12, 2008, 12:02:35 pm
When you wire in a 4 way joy and 2 buttons, are they just spliced into the player 1 up/down/left/right and 1/2 buttons? I was planning on going with a small 2 player layout but wanted a setup for old games as well. If its that easy, I'm modding my CP layout.

You don't need to splice the wires, but you can easily connect two wires to the inputs for P1 Joy and buttons.  It's a simple step to take.

yes. I did that with some push buttons.

Or I believe that you can run wires between the shared connections, and just attach one to the IPAC, rather than wiring each separately to the IPAC.

I ran mine to a common block - they have them at radio shack and then ran a wire to the ipac.  A lot of different ways to do this.

Yep.  I think it's the easiest way.  Simply putting two wires into the screw terminals saves time/effort.  No splicing, combining etc.  Just pop em in, screw them down, and start playing!

awesomeness. Now I have no reason not to add spinner and 4way.
