Hello BYOAC. I am not sure if this has been discussed before. My search results did show one thread who briefly touched upon this, but that's about all I could find.
I am currently looking to replace my tube television for my cab with a newer one. I was wondering if flat tv's are more susceptible to image distortion than rounded ones. My cab does monitor rotation.
The thread I found (link (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=67915.msg690250#msg690250)) had someone thinking it might be possible because of the shape. What do you guys think?

they do require slightly different sweep and convergence circuitry to compensate for the size/shape . ( part of the design)
otherwise , i'd think there is little operating difference.

I remember hearing about this some years ago. From the state of things, I'd say it was rectified long ago. Mine's great.
