Hi all,
In previous threads, there was some mention of newer Mame's changing the resolutions of Frogger, and a few other "Galaxian" hardware based games from their old resolution to 224x768 to add in "starfield" something or another...
There was a post on a "fix", or a way to change it to work the old way again.
But that link is gone now.
I am curious, for those here that have arcade monitors, what is everyone doing about this problem?
Simply not upgrade MAME anymore? Or have you found a good way to fix the problem?
Thanks!
Scott

Sailor Saint adressed this problem in her version of Cabmame. She also provdied a fix in the form of a .diff file (located in hacks.zip) if you wish to compile your own version of mame.
Works well.

I wish mame team would reconsider this and give us arcade monitor users a switch inside of mame, but you cant have everything.

You can still upgrade, just the old version for the games. ;)
I myself is stuck at version .106 (Advmame). And I will only update it when a new advmame is release (crossing fingers) or if I will update my pure DOS OS to Winblows and go to a windows MAME. :P
