Title: Easiest Way Get a Semi Circled Edge (MDF)???
Post by: lettuce on September 06, 2008, 07:44:06 am
Below is a mockup of my bartop cab i want to build....

I have been playing around with the idea of having the front of the CP base curve round to mimic the side panels of the cab. How best could i acheive this, is there any type of wood that could be manipulated to curve to this extent??

Then just buy three sheets of it.   ;)  You can cut the rounded support out of plywood or regular MDF using the circle cutting jig that has been explained in great detail on this forum.  Then bend the Bendy MDF around that curve.  With some filling and sanding, you'll be able to remove the seams and have the curve you want.

Sure about 5", guess it must be 5 feet. I've seen the stuff at least 600mm wide, and that is enough for your goal.
