Ok I got Visio, does anyone want to write up a quick, brief tutorial on how to make a CP?
Thanks

1. Create a custom paper size that meets your control panel size (exceeds if there are angles)
2. drag stencils you donwnloaded from here onto the workspace
3. ??????
4. Big Profits!
Heh... are you tripping up on something in particular? (and, sorry I don't think my Visio technique should be documented as it's probably non-standard-half-arse way of navigating/using visio...)
Maybe someone else will step up to the plate

I'm in the camp of "I got it to do what I wanted, but I'm certainly no expert at it". I have my cabinet plans (control panel included) in Visio format on my site at:

If it'll help ya, have at it!

I just uploaded my visio cp layout (http://ubercade.randomdrivel.com/downloads/uber_controlpanel_full.vsd) to my site... it's actually a smidge off from I actually did, and the size of the CP is a smidge off but it helped me tremendously (doing a visio mockup)
