I have 5K albums each folder has a folder.jpg which is the album cover. Some of the mp3s don't have the album cover embeded into the actual file (WHICH ipods and other apps and players use to display the album). Is there a program that will take the existing folder.jpg and inject it into the file tag? thanks

5K as in 5,000 albums?!?!? Wow I thought I was pushing it with 1,000+... Sorry I can't help but :notworthy: to your album collection.

Ahh, its not that much ;)

67k in albums??? How much disk space is that taking up?

That's tracks, not albums, but its about 7500 albums (Lots of EPs in there as well since I tend to get complete discographys), most are V0 MP3s and it fits comfortably on a 1.5tb raid with lots of other stuff too.

I was going to say, i have 12k in albums and that fills my 1tb drive. I need to split the compilations and soundtracks off onto their own drive i think.

How much of these is original brought music? I think there is a lots of piracy here.
But anyway, if you plans to use jukebox software with large collection, I really not recommered to embed all coverarts in files, since the size of the collection would been much more and then no jukebox software would read them.
But check out the recommered Tag&Scanner, and remember to "compile" to id3v2.3 tags in the end, since some software does NOT support id3v2.4 tags correctly. Id3v2.3 is the most popular id3 tag system.

Thanks had no idea Tag & rename had that option been using it for years. Thanks..... ehh only like 2 gigs more to have all your albums show up with art in itunes and ipod and in jukebox software

A small jpeg will not have much of an effect on the files being in there for each file vs a single folder.jpg. Its the full scans that you don't want to be embedding into the file, 300dpi tiffs get to be quite massive ;)

There are some scripts for Media monkey that will do this automatically for you.
I used media monkey and it worked but it renamed a bunch of my directories, so I freaked out and stopped using it.
I'm sure there is a way to get it to not mess with the renaming and just do what it's told but I quit before I kept working.
