Since I'm a newb here, and enjoy resto threads, I figured I would share this with the people who dont ever go to the KLOV forums, and wouldn't have seen it.
I had acquired an Atari Football cocktail that had been converted into a Hyper Sports, and I wanted to make it a Track and Field. I bought the game non-working, but was happily surprised when the only thing wrong was a "foose". I had always thought the Track and Field cocktail table were boring with their wood grain look, and figured since this was a conversion anyway, I could make it my own. I copied the look of the T&F upright (with the white and blue cab), and ended up with this:
Starting:

The control panels that were installed were way off as far as the button placement, so in order to make the overlays work, I had to fabricate new CP's:

Overlays on:

Populated CPs:

Finished:

Overall, it was a fun project to do, and it was pretty satisfying knowing it was the only one like it out there, heh. Lots of people loved it, some hated it, but it was worth it. Took about 2 full weekends to finish it. Once it was up and running, I noticed the board needed work, so it got fixed, and after that, it played perfectly.
I recently sold it to a local collector, so she sits in a good home now.

Nice work.

I dig it. Nice one.
-
I like it. ;D
Just finished piecing together a Track and Field upright myself.
(not pretty, but working)
I noticed the board glitches in your pictures. (world record area)
Bet the battery was dead. ;)
Couldn't help but to notice the button colors were wrong though.
But who's being quite that picky..... fun game, great competition.

Ever since I got my Narc MAME up and running, I have been obsessed with Track & Field. The Narc controls lend themselves very well to T&F. The only complaint is that the buttons are closer together than the original.

Just don't dent your CP all to hell pounding the buttons. ;D

Love it! Very nice work!
