Title: bootskin doesn't work on 64bit XP or Vista. is there an alternative?

I'd like to change my windows startup screen but bootskin doesn't seem to work.  has anyone managed to tweak these apps so they modify ntoskrnl or whatever properly for 64bit xp or vista?
