Hey there guys.
I am about to install a 48 in 1 into an upright cabinet that has a 25K7000. This wouldn't be too much of a problem until i looked at the steel mounting brackets that hold the CRT in place. I noticed that they dont have holes to accommodate a vertical mounting position.
All of the monitors that i have flipped, have had holes to account for vertical positioning. I'm just wondering what to do before i go a head with this ?
Any thoughts ?

Naming the type of cab or pics might help. Is it a shelf-mount style horizontal? I would probably just get a sheet of 3/4" ply and make a new monitor mount.

Depending on the cab, you can probably unscrew the ply and rotate it to accommodate.

Just thought i would add a couple pictures to illustrate my problem.

As you can see there is not much holding the monitor in place, besides 2 screws, which are screwed in sideways.
Im guessing ill have to just unscrew these and figure out a way to remount and rescrew / secure those brackets.

No chance of finding another cab? That's rough, mate.
There are ways of doing it. Mount the monitor onto a ply backing like in a dynamo, screwed into back supports (pretty much wood supports screwed into the wood).

Thats a pretty cheesy setup. I think what I'd do with that is create a whole new mount... I went out and snapped a picture of a 25" Dynamo mount, which I think is very cool setup and cheap to make. The pic is of the monitor mount itself, made of 3/4" ply. You make a square board with a cutout around the screen (which is naturally NOT square). This part fits into another piece of 3/4" ply hard mounted to the cab side. Since the outside is square, it fits flipped either way.
The cab that frame is hanging on has a similar setup, but even has oval holes in the part around the monitor to act as grab handles. Its a bit of measuring and cutting initially, but I can swap monitor orientation in about 5 minutes.

Agreed :P I got this cabinet for free, so i cant be too unhappy with it.
I think ill have to do as you guys suggest and make a whole new mount since there doesn't seem to be one on this thing.
