Post by: G1zm0 on August 28, 2008, 08:00:05 pm
is there any programs out that can automaticaly sort vertical/horizontal games into theres prospective folders.

ive got 2 machines, 1 dedicated vertical, the other dedicated horizontal, but i dont want all games for both genders on my hds.
just the ones for that type.

theres a prog that hasnt been updated in ages http://mame.joymonkey.com/  romsorter.

look at vmove, can this be easily updated?
 or any prog like it

i know about that one, good prog, but wanted something that shifted the vertical games to a folder and left the others alone.
then i would use rl to get rid of clones

you can do that with romlister too.
pick the vertical games, make a batch file to move the roms, save the batch file in your roms folder and run it.

http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/RL_tutorial_batchFiles

you'd put something like this in your batch file popup window:

move %ROM%.zip c:\verticals

If you need help getting it to work, shoot me a PM.
edit: I've just updated the wiki tutorial above to give you the exact steps you need to do what you want to do.

Good luck.
