Title: Mame 'In game' Video Options???
Post by: lettuce on August 28, 2008, 12:52:44 pm
I noticed over the last 5 months or so, some new video options have appeared in the in game video options (tab menu) as follows:

Standard
Pixel Aspect
Cocktail

Rotate
Backdrops
Overlays
Bezels
View

I know what half are these are for, but whats Backdrops, Overlays and View used for??

backdrop = image under the pixels. See Boot Hill.

Overlays = image over the pixels. Multiple uses, like coloring Space Invaders.

View = dunno, I haven't seen that one yet...

View = Crop or fullscreen.
IE. If you have bezels on and full screen for view, it will 'shrink' the game screen to allow full view of the bezel. Cropped will display the game screen to the max size and 'crop' the bezel.

Ah, that. I didn't pay attention to what it was labelled. I just knew what it did.
