Does Divemaster sell Toggle Sticks? And what a great deal - a Costco arcade system with three games for $2500. ::)

Ooooooo! Toggle sticks! I'll buy that thing just to part it out! ;D
-
He's not lying, he bought it new (http://www.brookstone.com/store/product.asp?product_code=500603&search_type=search&search_words=arcade&prodtemp=t2&cm_re=Result*R3C1*T) for $3,000 :laugh2:, and Brookstone calls them toggle sticks too. Those must be the 3rd input toggle sticks that go up your :censored:.

Hi,
Can someone please explain what "toggle sticks" are? They appear to be normal sticks in the picture, but I'd like to know the difference, and any advantages to having them over normal sticks.
Thanks in advance.

A toggle stick is like a toggle switch. There's no centering spring - instead it snaps to the direction you push it. It's very useful when you want to keep a game character moving in one direction while getting a beer from the frig!

So that's nothing like a wiggle stick then?

I'm still not sure why anyone would want to do this. Can you give a specific example?

I played one of these at one of the local movie theaters recently. The joysticks actually feel pretty good. Donkey Kong on a huge monitor...not so good.
-
How well did they toggle?
-
LOL you guys.. soo cruel...
On the other hand, building a High end Mame cab sucks, i should pay a tonne of cash for an overpriced Donkey kong cab from some online store...
and LOOK! for less than i can build an equivelant SPARE cab, I can get their service plan (which probably involves RA's and huge shipping charges)
lol
My toggle HURTS!
-
OK, OK, I just reread the whole thing and now I realize the joke is on me. Does that come with flux capacitor too? :hissy:
You guys are asses! LOL.

Until somebody just HAD to go and ruin it...
-
He didn't ruin it - he made it twice as good! Thanks for giving us a chance to laugh at your expense, delusional!

No problem. What's a joke amongst friends right? I guess it was my lack of sleep due to our new arrival (future gamer) ;D

Ya, pretty funny. Large monitor? Thing looks maybe nineteen inches. It is 19...and flat...look like they went LCD. Interesting how they cut it sorta like a Nintendo cab. The marquee looks all weird far back like that. Like a balding cabint! But you can see the whole of the monitor from higher up, a problem on other versions of these things.
-
Yeah, the one I played had a 25 - 27" monitor. I had to hunch over to be able to see the top.
