Title: happ trackball led.
Post by: clickhea on August 25, 2008, 06:13:33 pm
how does this attach to the trackball to light it up?

obviously it has to sit in the hole under the trackball, but where does it mount?

the only thing i can think of is bending the metal clip and hooking it to the bottom of the control panel under the trackball (if it will sit at the right height..)

There's a hole in the bottom that is meant for the screw that holds it to the case.

The issue you'll be finding is that, unlike the bulb that used to be in that fixture, the LED's are directional.  This means that the light is not going to be shooting into the ball, rather into the side of your cabinet.

Me thinks you need a better solution for lighting it with LED's. ;)
