Title: mala layouts, not working

hi ive tryed this layout http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=69785.0 and a few others, and i cant get it to dispay any pictures or any gfx?

ive pointed the layout to layout f older, and it see it and i load it and nothing no gfx or any colours just black screen.

no matter what one i try i get same result

what am i doing wrong?

i point them to mr do's cab files

Yes that layout is nice.  I use it myself.

I built that layout - I've been meaning to getting around to tidying it up for resubmission to malafe.net.  (Loadman has been good about not nagging me :P )

hi, still no joy with layout, i put fonts in fonts folder, put vertical layout mll and pictures in mala root folder.
pointed define 1 to cabinet files.

i get the cab files and font but. where the game name is ment to highlight its just black, no txt there just a few numbers after where the txt should be like 6086.

there is no colour background, its just black.

the fonts are in the fonts folder, ive double checked this, im testing on vista

Did you check the link I posted?

It would be that the folder you put the layour graphics in is not spelled right (Case sensitive) or

the setting in option-gu-layout (use layout name for directory names is not set.

Alternatively try have all the layout files just in the mala folder (not a subfolder) and switch that setting off

i put it in the mala folder and read the instructions with the v54 file and on the wiki, it wasnt in a subfolder and it selected ok

just the few probs i mentioned

another thing not to do with this topic.

when i play the mala start up video and i have background music , it plays over the video? is there a way to get the music to start just after the video plays?

This bug has just been fixed and will be in the next release  :)
