i found 2 emulators now where they are being recgonized by the actual emulator(in the settings), but do not provide any sort of actual movement in game
commdore 64 (winvice and cc64)
and
dreamcast (nulldc) newest one with joystick support.
do i have to change somthing in the actual u360 settings? right now i have them on analog
-
NullDC, last I heard, still does not support joystick. You'll need to use joy2key.
-
1.6 does
http://www.emudev.org/nullDC/
-
I'm using 1.6 with U360s and have to use joy2key.
-
really? isnt there a joystick plugin for 1.6 i see it in the settings
how bout commodore 64 are u using joy2key for that too?
-
It's there, but it doesn't work.
-
I don't emulate C64 on my cab, so I wouldn't know. Been a long time since I've messed with a C64 emu (I used to own a C64)
-
alright, do you just have the joysticks representing the arrow keys off the keyboard for direction in joy2key?
-
Yep.
-
Did you get it working ok?
Looking to get some 360s myself and want to run null.
-
actually yeah after messing around with it for a while
i found a way to get the joysticks working without the joy2key for nulldc
i'll post exactly what i did later tonight

it works with Joy2key, like I said, but hopefully clickhea has a better solution
-
okay here it is
open nulldc
(dont run any roms)
menu:
options / select plugins /
go down to the bottom where it says "Maple(input/saves plugins" and select the joystick option at the very bottom. (Port A)
click okay
go back to options /select plugins
now the 2 drop down boxes under the joystick option should be lit up. put both of those on the only option avaible.
hit okay once more.
go back to the options menu.
scroll down to maple
select port A
put a check next to u360 joystick
and then go to config.
set the config for the anaolog only (not digital)
and you can also set your buttons as well.
works for me, hopefuly it works for you. let me know
btw: if the joystick option under maple menu doesnt show up, try restarting the emulator.
-
trying to do exactly what you explained and im confused id like to get my u360's working for nulldc because they have awesome shmups!
-
what are you confused with?
-
I can't seem to get my u360's to function with nullDC 1.03 And when i switch to full screen it runs slower then the snail icon for the emulator
-
did you follow exactly what i said?
or did you not understand a certain part of it?
as for the emulator running slow, that could have somthing to do with your computer
what kinda computer are you running this emulator on?
it could also be the game you are trying to emulate isnt perfected yet.
-
i dont have this as an opition :
go down to the bottom where it says "Maple(input/saves plugins" and select the joystick option at the very bottom. (Port A)
-
1.6 does

Do you have v1.6?
-
Not according to this:

-
Not according to this:
My point exactly.
-
I noticed too, I just never mentioned it.
-
I know the one problem I have with nullDC is when I exit out of the program at full screen it crashes, I am using the newest version. If I use alt enter and exit full screen back out to a window then closing the program it works fine but, when I exit from FS it crashes everytime.
-
I couldn't even get Alt-Enter to exit full screen. I was having to alt-tab out every time. No big deal, since the PC in my cab can't run it anyway (2 ghz with 1 gig ram).
-
alt enter works for me, no problems there and I know my PC can handle it.
E8500
4 gigs of ram
-
Well, my main PC runs it great, I just couldn't get alt-enter to exit full screen. :dunno
