Post by: HaRuMaN on August 21, 2008, 10:54:53 am
Like the topic says, does anyone know for sure if the PS3 RB guitar can be used on PS3 GH3?

Activision is a box of cunts. they lock out the rockband hardware from working on their games. Harmonix however lets the GH gear work in rockband. Thats why I didnt buy GH:Aerosmith and why I wont buy world tour. Dd I mention anything you downloaded for rockband 1 will work in rock band 2?

I digress

Yeah... the reason I was wondering was because of the upcoming GH:Metallica

Oh well...  I'll just buy it with the guitar, and then that can be my bass guitar for RB.

I read that the GH:WT guitars will be compatible with RB2.  Not sure about vice-versa though.

I don't know about PS3, but it has been announced for 360 by MS that all the music peripherals will be compatible with either game.

Dunno if that is MS layin down the law on their system or these companies just realizing how ridiculous it is to expect people to by 20 sets of "instruments".

[EDIT]

I just read that the MS announcement was an "us too" announcement in response to one from Sony the day before saying the same thing, so it looks like the future of rhythm game instrumentation is bright on both platforms.
