Title: Another Woody clone....
Post by: srender517 on August 19, 2008, 01:17:31 pm
I just loved the first LCD woody cabinet and asked my uncle to help me with the build.

Here are some pics of the build.

Next step is to finish the stain and then I can start the control panel build.

Looking good. That glossy monitor should provide a nice picture!

What is your monitor bezel made out of?

The monitor bezel is made out of MDF painted flat black. It rests against the VESA lcd support and fits perfect.

We have just put the first of a few coats of poly on the cabinet. It's looking great!! Will post more pics when it's completed.

For the LCD glass I was thinking of going with some tinted glass or lexan. Is lexan or glass better? Can I get the tinted glass at home depot or lowes?

The entire woody project is all because of Knievel, I emailed him and got some rough dimensions of the cabinet and ran with it from there. Thanks again guys!!
