So normally the story goes like this.... I find something on CL and I am the 2nd person to call.
Happen to look today at CL and noticed that someone was selling 4 games for $1100 (Tron, Stargate, Neo Geo and another game that I can't recall the name of right now). All were working, but Tron quit working a couple of weeks ago. The posting was from 5:30PM the previous day (at around 1pm today) so I had assumed that they were gone, but figured I would ask if he would sell them seperately.
Within a few minutes I got a response back that they were still avail, that he would split them up and to make an offer. I quickly checked with the wife (:D) and offered $400 for both. He accepted!! :woot
I rented a trailer and picked them up and I am now a proud owner of two of the games on my "must have" list. They are both in great shape!
The stargate is cosmetically nearly perfect. A bit dirty, a few scratches on the sides, but real nice. No burn in on the monitor, monitor is sharp, colors vivid and does not even need a cap kit!
The Tron had all the lights working, but the upper marquee (no bulb). Replaced the bulb and it now works too. The Marquee itself is absolutely Flawless! I mean, not a single scratch. But it did almost break as the upper marquee bracket is missing (spare anyone?) and it almost fell off when we loaded it up :dizzy:. Good thing I noticed. CP is very nice, artwork has some of the usual scratches on them. The system, however, does not play. Oh goody... a new project. :) Oh, and the lower bottom door is missing (anyone got a spare??).
I will try to post some pics tomorrow.

Wow. Most excellent score.

Stargate pics...
1. Side (hard to get to right now). You can see some of the worse damage to the cab (that top left corner). A few scuffs and needs a good cleaning.
2. Control Panel. Needs a bit of cleaning, but in excellent shape
3. A screenshot. So hard to get good ones in the garage
4. The Marquee.

Tron pics:
1. Back. Door missing.
2. Front view.
3. Bezel area.
4. Control Panel. Good shape, not the electrical tape on the joystick.

More Tron pics:
1. Side. Scratches throughout. I will replace it if I find decent art.
2. Marquee front. perfect except for some fingerprints (probaby mine :))
3. Marquee back. Not a scratch!

Nice Tron!
Good Score!
A Bottom Back Door is not hard to make.
I cut one for mine, Since it was missing.

yeah, I figured I would cut one once I figured out the shape and size.

Very nice. Hopefully, the Tron won't take much. Also would like to see a better picture of the monitor running, if you can?

Monitor on the Tron or Stargate?

So this morning I told my son (10 years old) that the Tron Power Supply does not work and that I was going to strip the cab and MAME it. :D
The look he gave me was priceless!! Good to see that I am training the next generation to value the classics. :)

Got the Tron fully working today. :)

YAY!
Tron rocks!
