Title: How do you designate an Ipac shift button?
Post by: austin_21b on August 13, 2008, 02:58:37 pm
I have an Ipac4 and have programmed my layout and all normal controls for my panel. However, I want to do shifted controls also. How can I change which button acts as the shift button using the WinIpac? Also, can the Ipac be used to simulate a mouse click?

In the panel on the left side of WinIPAC in the key assignment mode, there are a pair of radio buttons for normal keys and shifted keys. Select Shifted and then you can program the key you'd like to use.

I don't believe the IPAC can do mouse buttons.

In table view, the upper left shows SHIFT 1. This is where you change your shift button:

The I-PAC is a keyboard device so does not emulate mouse buttons but one option is to use the Mousekeys feature in Windows. This is mentioned in the Windows Help file.

Hmmm. For some reason SlikStik wired the middle trackball (mouse) button to 'L', though it could have been wired to the TB controller.
