Title: disassembling an Happ's universal joystick

Hello everybody

I feel stupid for asking this question here, but how do you disassemble the universal joystick from Happcontrols
http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/universal_joy_e.htm (http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/universal_joy_e.htm) (I'm trying to mount it in a control panel)
I managed to remove everything except from separating the 'lower base' from the 'upper base' and I fear breaking the thing by using brute strength  :)

Does anyone know how to properly disassemble it ?

Last time I tried to rotate the lower base, it wouldn't move.

I'll try brute force as soon as I get home :)

Just grab the base and twist counter-clockwise.
