The only site that I know of with full manuals is crazykong and they only have Blitz and Blitz2Kgold manuals over there.
Anyone have a manual for Blitz 99 and blitz 2K? I could really use these specifically for the dip settings and the wiring diagrams.
You can PM me for my work email if you have these.
Thanks

The wiring for all versions of Blitz is the same. Only factor is 2P or 4P control panel. The 2k Gold manual should have both.
The DIP switch settings are also mostly the same. If you put the game into test mode and hit DIP switch check, it will tell you what all the switches do in their present position with the other position usually being the opposite.
I've never found a 99 or 2k non-gold manual, so if you happen upon them, I would also be interested even though they are largely unnecessary.

their is a Blitz 99 manual on ebay as we speak.
I had a friend with a manual that scanned the page I needed and sent it.
I am curious though: Can a large magnet erase a HD? I have heard of magnets erasing CD's if they get to close/are to big.

Well I hooked the Blitz 99 in my jamma cab last night. All of the lights on the board/HD came on, did some flashing, but nothing on the screen at all.
Same thing with the one Blitz 2K I got around to testing. Both games are set to standard res monitors, but I am clueless as to why they won't come up on the screen or play any sounds at all.
The video runs threw the jamma harness correct or is their an auxilary video setup for these?

The flashing lights means something ...
EDIT: Perhaps I should be more clear ... check the manual for what the flashing patterns mean or for guidelines how to put the board into test mode (with JAMMA boards, usually just flipping the test switch).

If the HDD is dead and the power-on test is turned off, the board will appear completely dead save for some LED activity as the watchdog resets the power-up sequence. This is very common for "dead" Seattle boards that show up on ebay. Turn on power on tests (I forget which DIP SW, but it's the same for all versions of Blitz) and see if it'll at least come up and attempt to spin up the HDD and load a program. If it gets through the POST but resets (it's a watchdog reset) after sitting at a blank screen for a while, your hard drive is bad. If it stalls out on the Hard Drive check, then clearly the HDD is bad.
If the HDD is bad, you won't be able to run the test mode program as that gets loaded from the disk drive, so enabling power-up tests is the best first course of action on a non-booting Seattle.
Hard drive failure is by far the most common problem. They are pretty old at this point, and the commonly used Quantum Fireball wasn't the most reliable thing to begin with. Also make sure you have very good power. If necessary, power the HDD directly from the power supply using dedicated wiring rather than running off the PCB's connector which draws from JAMMA. Those HDDs are very picky and will spin up and down constantly when given droopy power usually resulting in either bootup problems of missing graphics during gameplay.
