Wonder how good teh 800x600 works for most games?
-
Good enough. Most people actually end up playing games at 800x600 unless their gfx cards are the pwn.

HaHa! Remember when they lowered it from the ceiling? That was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

That description is funny, because they say "This flat screen is viewable from any angle," yet you can very clearly see that the screen is curved, not flat... I would use that insight to temper their claims of quality etc.

"... but we're all not as confused a Nigel, are we? ..."

this auction ends tonight, in case some of you were thinking about makin a bid. 33 inches is a big moFok'n screen.

I have the same monitor except it is 5 years older (1988) model.
I'm using it for my MAME dresser. It is to heavy (IMO) to put in a cabinet. I think it weighs about 150 pounds. On mine I had to build a horizontal delay to keep the screen centered when switching between 640x480 and 800x600 modes. There is a "pot" on the front panel, but who wants to adjust that all the time?
I got mine broken for $60. Two hours and a inch of solder fixed it.
It has a solid metal chassis so I can put speakers on the side with out messing up the screen.
I even tested it at 1024x768, but I used a setting with a low horizontal rate.
Ron.
