Title: Willing to give away parts for a 1980 Star Castle arcade game
Post by: Gator In Atlanta on August 10, 2008, 10:45:03 am
Hi,

I'm not really an arcade game collector, but my son recently acquired a very old, beat up 1980 Star Castle arcade game in order to use the cabinet.  I rescued the parts that were removed and have them in my garage in north Atlanta.  I think the only usable parts are the bezel, the control panel with the buttons, and the plastic molded piece that was attached to the picture tube.  I also have the tube itself and the various circuit boards, but I think they are shot.

Anyway, I hate to junk this sort of thing.  If there is someone in this area that wants these parts, I am willing to give them to you if you can pick them up.

By the way, this forum is pretty cool - I can see that it would be easy to get hooked on this stuff.

These parts have been successfully given away to someone who will hopefully make good use of them.  Thanks.

I'm in Smyrna - are you building a cab (solo or with your son)?

Hey Jim,

My son worked on it.  He used the cabinet and installed his TV and X-Arcade console.  PC is in the back.

Good to see your son getting into the hobby....

Sad to see a classic vector game being parted out though.

I would be happy to pay for shipping and any time it took to box them.
