My CP is 4 players. I'm using ICE buttons, and i'm trying to think of the best way for allocating LED-Wiz Ports. I have 2 Led-Wiz boards.
What are the disadvantages of sharing ports for Player 3 and Player 4 buttons?
The only ones i can think of are:
1) Buttons for Player 4 incorrectly light up, for games that support 3 player games and not 4 player games (there can't be too many of these)
2) Games that have 4 players with all different color schemas don't work for player 4 (there can't be too many of these)
3) Some pre-programmed animations will be a little out of snyc. (no idea the scope)
To me, these don't seem like that big of deal. So it doesn't seem worth buying LED-Wiz board #3 to overcome these disadvantages.
Am i missing something?
Also, is it worth have the Player 1 - Player 4 "coin" and "start" buttons on RGB drives? I would think just having a single white light for these would be good enough.

I think you've pretty much covered the disadvantages. You'll definitely be limited with the animations. I agree about the coin and start buttons - no need for RGBs.
One thing you may way want to consider is the need for additional LEDs in the future - will you ever want to light up the joysticks or track ball? If you think you might, then investing in a 3rd LED-Wiz up front may be a better choice - and then you won't have the player 3 and 4 limitations.

FYI.. i have the trackball and that is hooked up with an RGB drive (man is it gorgeous).
For the lit start and coin-buttons, if i was going to go with a single color. Do you think i should go ICE Or NovaGem

You might want to consider the Ultimarc Ultralux buttons - I really like them for the coin and start buttons because they have label inserts that go under the button cap. But they don't look anything like the NovaGems or ICE buttons - if you want everything to match this could be an issue. For me, I like distinguishing the coin/start buttons from the player buttons.
