Yesterday I was setting Mala up to show the emumovies mame videos with the mala screensaver. It worked great at first but after a few minutes the videos gradually start to get slower and slower and finally freeze, locking the computer up and requiring a hard reboot. I changed the screensaver to show images instead of videos and the same thing happened. Well, except for the slowing down, I don't guess a still image can "slow down."
Anyway, has anybody else experienced this?
Other than the freezing up, I'm very pleased with it

If you can try to identify what other settings you have enabled/disabled when this happens that would be good. The more detail the better.
IE
* Does it only happen when you are using a layout with videos?
* Does it only happen when sound is enabled.
* Is you windows screensaver enabled also?

never mind. Looks like the entire computer is the fritz, that's just the first thing that started acting up. This isn't an issue with Mala afterall
Thanks

I saw a similar behavior during screensavers also. it turned out that i had some bad movies that kicked off during random mode. These "bad" movies played fine outside of mala but not inside... i replaced them with lower res version from emumovies and that did the trick.

I made a standalone movie/video player. It is useful as it uses the same engine as mala so might be useful for other to weed 'bad vids' stuff out without having to fire up MaLa.
I will post it tonight ;D

2 days after this started, the computer won't even send output to the monitor. I checked out the video card and 5 capacitors have blown. I've ordered a replacement and hopefully this will solve the original problem.
Thanks for the help
