I'm building a MAME Lanbox to put all the games in, but still debating over which case to get, which one do u guys think looks nicer and is better??
Note: I have a spare PSU, so it doesnt matter if it comes with one or not.
Antec NSK1380

Thermaltake LANBOX Lite VF6000BWS

Thermaltake, definately.
Also, it has more (and better) reviews than that other case.

I second the Thermaltake LANBOX. Not just for looks but if your planing on using your spare PSU, I'm 99.9% sure that the Antec NSK1380 does not use a standard PSU. So fitting you spare PSU may require some dremel work or it may not even be possible. It does come with a PSU, but if its not good enough for you or it goes out, replacement would be difficult and probably more expensive then it needs to be. Just my 2cents....

this is the spare PSU I have, will it fit on the Thermaltake box?

Can those lanbox cases fit any PSU? or they need to be a special size.

Any ATX power supply (which is what you have) should fit in that Thermaltake case. Dew eet!

thanks guys

I was looking at those a couple of weeks ago. They are much bigger than I thought they would be. I ended up going with a small atx case instead since it had a smaller footprint in the cab.

I was just going to say, what's the point of those cases? Are they supposed to be more portable than a normal case? Because they look the opposite to me. As mentioned below, they also seem to take up more desk/floor space. ???
-
One good aspect of these: they are an easier shape/size to carry under your arm than some designs. If was going back to MATX for portability though; I would probably get a case with an OEM handle like one of these (http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Chassis/miniCase/lanbox/vf1000_index.asp), or this (http://www.pricebat.ca/Apex-TX-381-Mini-Tower-mATX-Case-Black-2X5-25-2X3-5-4X3-5INT-400W-W-Carrying.p_10063010/), or I would add a handle onto a shuttle XPC. Handles are just so
dandy handy.

Still seems much easier and cheaper to just get a cheap ATX carrying strap:

Straps are handy, too. My Antec "Super Lanboy" case came with one, so that it is what I currently use. I would go back to the MATX train (and my old Aspire Q-Pack which is collecting dust) but I can't seem to find an affordable one with the same features as the full ATX boards.
