Title: Jamma connections......
Post by: Twizted on June 08, 2003, 04:14:37 pm
I noticed that there are various numbers of connections for 12v,+5v, and -5v.

Do they all have to go to the power supply or are they all connected through the pcb and I only need one of each connected to the PS?

I'm getting JUICED right now!!! ;D

Too bad I have to wait 2 weeks before I can get an isolation transformer and AC filter to fire this thing up.
OH and I need buttons too.

I have acquired Smash tv without sound board(need one),Mortal Kombat,NBA JAM, and Ring King(need to convert/adapt to jamma).
And I picked up a Stargate cabinet last night with a monitor in it that just needs a cap kit.I hope to find a Stargate pcb and restore the cabinet but it doesn't look good for the board.
Soon to start on a mame cabinet with a 27" monitor and 4 player CP for games like xmen and TMNT!!

Enough rambling(excited plus coffee buzz= :D)

Thanks
Rick

As an expert whose done hundreds of JAMMA conversions, you need to have ALL the power terminals from your JAMMA board connector run to the power supply it prevents burning of the edge connector contacts and some game freezing/lockup problems.
