Title: AVRes 1.2 Doesnt Create .xml file, help!

Am using the resolution tool AVRes 1.2, have used it a number of times before on my old cab under windows xp. I am now using windows xp 64 in my new cab, and when i tick the box within AVRes to create new mame.xml file and cick go, it doesnt create a file and just has the egg timer pointer whenever i hover the mouse pointer of the AVRes program. Any ideas, or how can i create a xml file another way?
