Does anyone know much about these screens? A local arcade operator are selling these monitors and tubes at a resonable price but I know little about them.
I like the idea of buying one and attaching it to a Arcade VGA card which leads to the other question. Will this type of monitor work with said card?
Thanks

Well what type of monitor is it? Standard resolution? Medium resolution? More than likely if it's for an arcade machine it's a standard resolution monitor. If that's the case then yes, it should work just fine with the ArcadeVGA. I don't know if an ArcadeVGA can handle a medium resolution monitor or not.
I can't speak for the tube, though. I'm not familiar with those monitors. How old are they? What does guy who's selling them say about them?
P.S. I know it's off topic, but how is that marquee/cpo coming along? ;D

Yeah I'm bit vague in my desciption, just thought someone might of heard of this brand before.
As for the marquee, go have a look in that forum. It's coming along nicely.

Happs sell Kortek brand monitors on their site and my local outfit ( Coin Cascade ) in New Zealand stocks this brand also. They seem to be a good medium price range monitor.

The vast majority of Kortek monitors are standard (CGA) resolution. They are sold in the USA under several different labels most notably IMPERIAL (Imperial International better known now as Betson Imperial). Kortek has an office in Las Vegas and you can contact them at (755) 359-2205 or 2204. Kortek's website is: www.kortek.co.kr/eng/index.asp
In my many years repairing game monitors I have found Kortek monitors to be very reliable and they put out an excellent picture.
