I'm looking for a very very simple front end to my front ends.
I changed around my frontend a while ago, but in the end, I didn't like how Mala handled multiple versions of MAME (I have one multimame directory setup for each control panel).
So in the end, finally just setup a different setup of mala for each control panel. It would be nice though if I could have a program sepecify which version of the frontend I'm going to be running (doing it by hand).
Thanks

Why you don't use mala itself to run multiple instance of mala?

Crazy man, crazy.

FYI.. Multiple Mame support is on the MaLa Dev timeline.
Basically to start with you will create your Mame gamelist as normal.
Then you will go into the gamelist editor and change the games you want to run on a different version.

I made a program for one of my cabs a while back which was just that... A Front End Front End. I called it: FEFE (catchy, huh?)
I used it at bootup to get into Mamewah , jukebox software, drop to windows, and shut down PC. All using P1 Joystick and 1 button for cab-friendliness.
I then thought I would make it customizable, so other people could simply edit an .ini file and make their own FEFE, but I never released it to the public (since other front ends were coming out that allowed multiple emus, shutting down, etc).
I can bring it back alive if anyone would be interested. But I can promise I have nowhere near the programming skill of the others around here :)
