Title: i need fe help!!

hello all. i have a few questions, directed mainly at the fe programmers.

1) is there a fe that allows use of advanceMAME other than advanceMENU?

2) do any of those fe's offer skinability, multiple emu support, and pc game support?

3) of the few that survive the first two questions, can said fe be used with minimal configurating, excluding skinning?

i've been using gamelauncher and mamewah, but have just now switched to advanceMAME. for the record, i run xp.

What problems do you have with advance mame and fe's? I thought any fe can run it, I did for a long time with mine. Most fe's around here will past the first two tests including mamewah and it is accordiong to a lot of people the most easy to setup.

everytime i run advanceMAME on mamewah, i get an error. i knnow it's configured correctly, because i correctly configured 7 other emus the same way. they all work.

Because you configured 7 other emu's OK, doesn't neccessarily mean you set it up right for (Adv)MAME, although most of the default settings should be correct...

What error are you getting, and what version of MAMEWAH are you using??

i am now running that version from about 4 weeks ago. i dunno which, but that is when i downloaded it from your site. the error is not really an error: when i start advMAME, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then i get the blue screen of death

sorry all. downloaded the new mamewah, configgured everything the same, exactly teh same. it works now. maybe i had a corrupt file in the fe, but now it is fixed. thanks for the info guys.
