Title: FT: New Wells-Gardner 18" D9100
Post by: bullish4 on June 07, 2003, 12:15:10 pm
Remember back in the day when Midwest-Digital was selling these on Ebay?  Well, mine arrived with the tube in the neck yoke cracked and I got fully reimbursed from my claim with Fedex.  I would think you could get the tube from Wells-Gardner, or perhaps you just need all of the new parts off of it (board, screen, etc.)

This monitor retails for $365 on wells-gardner's website.

Well, it's been sitting in a box all this time and I've been too lazy to get a new tube. I already had an Eygo in my cab and I bought this to make a new vertical cabinet.  This is new in the box and has never been plugged in (for obvious reasons).

Here is the link with the specs (this is the 18")

I would like to trade it to the first person who is willing to send me a trackball and a spinner.  I don't care if they are new just so long as they work.

This monitor will cost about about $25 to ship and I'm willing to deduct that cost from what it will cost to send the trackball and spinner.

Please email me at gdg@cybertron.com if you are interested.

Just to clarify, it is the vacuum tube that plugs in the back of the crt that was broken.  The crt and all other parts arrived in mint condition.

Doh, as my corp firewall won't let me load the images :/ That'll teach me to get behind enough on a project to have to come in and spend a Sat coding. I'll check it out as soon as I get home.

ok, i did not notice this until after i pulled it out of the box after my original post.  it looks like some of phorphorous is scratched inside the crt.  i guess some of the broken glass from the vacuum tube sneaked inside the crt. (i had it packed crt down on styrofoam)

oh well, the boards and connectors and frame are still perfect.  i'll entertain any offers ( i do need a spinner more than the trackball !)

You  couldn't reuse the old tube anyway, so it wouldn't matter a bit.  Looks like the chassis is just fine, so all you need is a new tube.

Only bad thing is that the tube costs about $370.26.
Though if I'd have a U9100 myself I always would take the spare chassis for this low price!

Anyone has a U3100 19" chassis for $25? Call me! :)
