my old graphics card died so instead of buying a 2nd hand one again i brought a new nvidia 256mb geforce fx 5500 agp card as i was happy with my old nvidia card so that's why i got this one. its connected by s-video to scart(i'm in the UK)this worked fine on my old card that was connected to the tv in my cab but this time it only displays a black & white picture i've messed around with all the settings, checked cables, google'd the problem and found a few things but still no luck has anyone got any ideas please
Cheers
Ross ;D

No doubt you've already tried this, but I'd go back and and check the old drivers are really *GONE*. I think there are "clean-up" utilities that will uninstall old graphics drivers for you better than the automatic uninstall via windows add/remove.

thanks bloodyviking77 i found this
http://www.techspot.com/vb/all/windows/t-28328-How-to-wipe-out-or-clean-video-memory.html
i followed every thing it said but still no luck  i was quite happy with my old nvidia geforce mx 400 card this worked fine with a tv but it was the second one that died on me within 6 months so i thought i'd get a new card(at least you get a years warranty) i think i'll just get a second hand one the same as the old one now as i've wasted 3 nights trying to sort this one out :angry :banghead:

I read somewhere that some people have problems with some of the newer drivers either not outputting a picture or it displaying in b&w. Why don't you try installing older drivers.
