Title: Problem: changing res = overscan on arcade monitor
Post by: Ummon on July 22, 2008, 12:24:58 am
I'm using MaLa on a standard res arcade monitor. Of course it won't do anything above 640x288, so I set that in the options, but I got overscan. However, even on my multisync, when testing the "<640x480 lo-res" feature, a similar thing happened. I didn't find anything on anything like this in a search.

I dont have this issue?

What is your desktop resolution? (assuming you use xp)

I started out at 336x240, but also tried out 640x240 and 640x288 (the limit of its progressive range). I forgot to test 640x480 interlaced, though. (I have to redo the soft15 configuration. Simple, but I forgot before I shut it off.)

When I tried the 'lo-res' feature on my multisync, the desktop I think was set at 1024x768.

Could be the low res feature. Make a layout on your resolution and try again i would say.

Ohhh. Yeah, I'll have to go in and look at the layout settings. I thought it would just automatically scale it or whatever.

I tried this, set it to 336x240 and started the layout manager, but the layout manager displayed the same (with overscan) as did the original layout in MaLa. I dunno.
