My cabinet has a Sharpimage 25" monitor and a Sharpimage chassis board. I wired the monitor to my ArcadeVGA card using the RGBE a BLANK SPOT and then S.
I have a 6 place straight connector that connects R to RED, G to Green, B to BLUE, E to Ground and my SYNC wires are twisted and go to the blank spot (see picture). There is not a wire going to the "S" terminal.
Am I shortening the life of my monitor? Does anyone see any problem with this?
IN THE BAD PICTURE YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THE LONGER LINES GO TO THE ACTUAL PINS AND THE SHORTER LINES GO TO THE SPOT ON THE CHASSIS BOARD THAT IS LABELED WITH AN R, G, B, E __ S. HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE.

I forgot to mention that my cabinet seems to work just fine this way. Even though it works fine, it still concerns me.
Would you guys recommend switching the sync wires from the EMPTY spot to the "S" spot? What difference would it make?
