if you live in NH or go to funspot often, if its possible i'm looking for someone to take some pics for me of Gun.smoke Machine, last ive check it was around the bend from pacman(s) near wonderboy, in between red alert, and mania challenge. :blah:

Hiya,
I go up there about every 6 months (live in NH). I took some pics a while ago but I can take some of Gunsmoke for you. Anything particular you are looking for, cp, marquee, cabinet, etc? I'm hoping to go again before the end of summer.

bump, still seeking pics from funspot NH of this machine

The best Ive got.
I was there this year, just a few months ago. I dont live there.
Was nice... but.. many games had issues that needed to be fixed.

thanks for the tease! hehe very dark but much appreciated i was like two buttons! and then im like nevermind i can just barely make out the other one... im surprised its not a balltop joystick doesn't seem right as a battop and squinting i can barely make it out but looks as if ROM as HS 110,000 which means it's US Set 2
Should anyone be able to get clearer shots please post! of the cab screen to confirm my bad eyes, cpo in addition to the sideart / coindoor slots everthing etc.. thanks in advance!
on vaps id say most of their cab's listed are dedicated / original i think that they list as a conversion cab, i'm also curious if anyone can identify what cabinet that cab was originally

You are correct with the score value. I have a higher res version of
the pics.. tho didnt want to post such huge files here.
There are 4 main buttons.
2 white buttons are labeled "Fire Right"
2 Yellow buttons have a picture of a gun next to them.
The cp artwork looks generic. Grey with black semi circle lines, and
the Romstar logos spattered on there. Joystick is sitting on top
of one of the Romstar logos.. so it looks to be cut off.
The joystick was probable originally a balltop that was replaced
with the Happs bat style at a later date.

wow and i thought my eyes were shot, i guess playing video games alot does infact improve your vision , so any possibility that you can upload me your higher res pics to sendspace.com / megaupload.com or pm me ..
ive seen versions of this game with no buttons other than player 1, player 2 start buttons and you controll the shots with the joystick , i know there's a way to change the dip switches to do that but to me it defeats the gameplay. three buttons one to shoot left one to shoot straight and one to shoot right. which actually make up 6x different directions when combining button presses, also technically 8 buttons should be on the cab because it's ambidextrous
also of the games they list on vaps :
i think roughly 23 out of 280 or something machines that Fun Spot lists along those lines are conversions. and on Vaps just taking a guess but just 3 people list this game as original / dedicated i'm curious if they mislabeled it on vaps or if it did infact exist as a non conversion dedicated. one lists the cocktail version ive never even seen pictures of one. I fear that I won't be able to find one

That was a Nintendo cab originally.

i made it easier to see the buttons.... but thats definitely a Nintendo cab.

yeah definitely a Nintendo cab for sure.. i don't think I would convert one into a Gun Smoke machine, i know most were pac / centipede quick kits . The one on klov.com i think is a pacman convert.. I'm still seeking cocktail pictures of this cab along with a dedicated/ original

I thought that right away - Capcom game in Nintendo cab. Hmmm. And the buttons are disappointing - not just in number but in orientation. I didn't know it had dips for stick movement/fire combo; that would be lame, but possibly the test of a true master.

I found a better pic of it on google.images the color combination sorta works the blue sky matching the blue nintendo cab, and the white romstar text in the cpo matching the t-molding.. they need to replace the controll panel stickers though I just got some NOS ones maybe i should send them a set .. the button color combination im not a big fan maybe it's because the blue one looks translusent? Also the bat top stick i'd like to see it get replaced with a ball top. and the sticker showing shoot center is pointed in the wrong direction on both sides etc

So it's a dedicated conversion, still seeking a dedicated original should one exist
