Is there a blank empty theme (or a preferred method for starting from scratch) with the new fancy skinner?
I want to start from the cleanest/simplest slate possible in order to make the look and feel I'd like.
Thanks! ( any other skinning tips are appreciated, as well)

I just copied over the default skin into a new directory. Then loaded those images into photoshop and wiped them all clean to start. After I figured out the basics of how they work together I started spinning off on my own.

Yeah, I can do that.. but I really want a clean template without *any* thing on it... I tried starting with the dragonking, but couldn't remove everything that I wanted... *shrug*
I'll try that, thought.. thanks for your thoughts...

This isn't supported on purpose as skins are really confusing unless you have one to start with. If you want a really simple one without any graphics download the "list full" skin by boris. It's quite clean.
Also docs will be out within the month. I have some real world business to attend to over the course of the next few weeks so I haven't gotten a chance to start on the new website yet. Oops did I say new website? Hehe. :D

Thanks howard,
And here I was bracing for an onslaught =P
I'll try that, I wasn't sure that I could take a laz skin and "upgrade" it to dragon king one using the skinner...
Thanks again,

Yeah, you can no problem. Actually you don't even have to convert, while we are on the subject.
The old skin format is still perfectly readable by dk, although it lacks the two new image elements and special effects. That's one of the reasons why the new skinner still allows you to save in the old format. It may be clunkier, but it's about a meg smaller. ;)

Howard, maybe you can give a quick pre-documentation answer to this. I can get the Backgroundrtl.png to work (looks nice), but the Backgroundltr.png only remains a still image.
Also, assuming I get rtl and ltr working .. is it possible to have BOTH run at same time or is it an either-or choice)

It's either/or.... If it was both things would slow down so much you wouldn't be able to use it anyway.
And rtl code is implemented while ltr isn't That scrolling stuff is experimental and still has issues to work out.
