Post by: Goz on July 19, 2008, 01:24:37 am
I built a newer one so I've got a spare... Here are the details. I'll post pics if there is any interest.

Hackintosh: mobo: ga-945gcm-s2c, CPU: e6700 2.6Ghz, RAM: 2GB Adata 667Mhz, Video: NVIDIA 7600 256MB, HDD: 500GB SATA, DVD: Dual Layer SATA, OS: Vanilla 10.5.4 *All working fully functional

This is all in a like new Cooler Master Praetorian Black alluminum case.

Asking $500 shipped in the US.

Should be a pretty decent deal

Costs:
motherboard: $80
CPU: $200
RAM: $70
Video Card: $70
Hard Drive: $80
Dual Layer DVD: $30
Case: $125

Have you had good luck going the Hackintosh route?  I have a MBP, but wanted a MacPro Desktop, just can't bear to fork out the crazy amt. of $$ for it.  Something not QUITE as fast to run iMovie/FCP decently will work for me.  Just curious about your experiences.  Thanks!

I've nearly converted over to using the hackentosh's exclusively except at work and in cabs.
