Assuming I'm only running pre-90's games what is a reasonable minimum spec for a dedicated PC in my cab?
Getting sick of swapping my PC out every time I need to use it.

for the classics, my piii 500 does just fine. I play neogeo games abit too, will be upgrading to at least a 1Ghz.
-
I bet it does, but as I'm the brokest man alive I'm hoping to see what the bare bones minimum is.

I have an old PII 400mz rig doing absolutely nothing. Would this be OK to play most classic titles?
Thanks,

If you're that broke, how will you afford the hundreds of dollars in controls and interfaces you'll possibly wind up needing?

I have a PII 300 (256MB) that runs most older things great. Some neo-geo games are slow, can't play Mortal Kombat, or NBA Jam, etc. but can play streetfighter games fine.
If you are planning on pre-90s games you should be fine with something like that.

My spare box is a P2 450 w/ 64Mb Runs virtually 100% of Pre 90s Games perfectly. Runs quite a few 90s games without issues as well.

Well Headrusch... some of use have managed to do our complete MAME project without laying out a dime of cash, other than cash generated during the project. For people with smarts and creativity, there's no reason to dump the $1000+ that I see people on here dumping all the time. In fact, I'm pretty sure I came out AHEAD $100-$200 over the course of my project :)

I can see that. buy something big, sell out parts save what you need and make cash
