Title: Opinions on LCD Touchscreen size?
Post by: hattrick10 on July 10, 2008, 01:45:59 pm
Hello AC forum members.  First post here although I've become increasingly unproductive at work as of late reading up here about making my own jukebox  ;D

I'm wondering if all you guys who have bought 15" ELO screens (like the $80 ones found on ebay) find that to be adequate for a jukebox interface?  I havent started my project yet but have kind of decided on using album player for software.  Before spending the extra $$$ on a 17" monitor, I wanted all of your expert opinions  ;)

I dont know if it makes much difference, but I plan on using my soon to be built jukebox outside (under a party tent) and I just dont want people to not be able to see the screen from a decent distance.

If you plan on keeping the jukebox for years and years then what is the real difference on spending a couple extra hundred to make it great.   If you are thinking a 15" is too small, then get a bigger one.  You would hate to have everyone tell you that it is good just to find out you really do not like if after you bought it.

My 2cents ....

I have a 15" and I think it is the perfect size. But it is all personal opinion.

unclet hit the nail on the head, but personally I find the 15" adequate.

Heck, my wife is happy with 3...  :)
